Hi Jan,

Great post you have here discussing delivering messages in which others are able to relate. Whenever personal experience is shared, it draws the interest of a reader to identify and imagine being in the writer's shoes.

Although there is specific focus as to the reason for the article or blogpost, including a personal experience first-hand can always captivate the reader's attention

Thanks for sharing here.

Aloha,

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for stopping by. For some reason, I did not receive notice of your comment. So sorry for the delayed response. And I'm no help, anyway, as I am not aware of any low cost email lists of writers.

Writing.com looks interesting, I see it is a membership site. What do you have going there?

Hi Heather,

So glad you find this post to be helpful! I can see we're in agreement. Meeting people wherever they're at, and helping them get to where they want to be, is what this is all about.

Thanks for your comments,
Jan

Hi Jan,

I love this list and will be referring to it in the future. I must say that poke em where it hurts is my favorite. :) We have to connect with people through their challenges, pain, and heartaches in order help them know we understand what they're going through and trust us that we can help.

I hadn't thought of it the same way you put it, as far as your fantastic headlines, but in my prospecting I try to help people connect with their pain and what is standing in the way of them having what they want in their life. It helps them to see that if they don't do something to change it, they will never be in a different place.

Great job! Thanks!
